Our King Street surgery is able to provide radiography with their modern digital x-ray machine. Most x-ray procedures require a degree of sedation or full general anaesthesia in order to obtain imagines of diagnostic quality. Owing to the nature of x-ray images, a number of views are often required to reach a diagnosis.
The King Street practice has a separate imaging suite with private dark rooms for radiography, as well as a state-of-the-art ultrasound scanner, with all our Veterinary Surgeons having received training on how to use this machine to its best capabilities.
This type of imaging method is useful for pregnancy diagnosis, echocardiography (ultrasound scanning the heart), and imaging soft tissue structures (such as abdominal organs – liver, kidney, spleen). Ultrasound can also be useful for some orthopaedic complaints.
At our King Street practice our team of veterinary surgeons and nurses are able to provide 24/7 care for your pets should they need it. With serparate wards for cats, dogs and exotic patients, we aim to make your pet as comfortable as possible during their stay with us.
Inpatients are comprehensively monitored day and night by our highly experienced team of Veterinary Surgeons and Nurses. We can also care for high-dependency pets within our intensive care ward.
For those patients who may pose an infectious risk or who may be immunocompromised we have a seperate isolation ward.
If your pet is hospitalised with us and you wish to visit them then please contact the King Street surgery to arrange.
